Risco Caído is a landform and archaeological site on the island of Gran Canaria. The site contains prehistoric cave dwellings, temples and granaries attributed to the Canarian aborigines, in the period between the arrival of the North African Berbers, towards the beginning of our era, until the first Spanish settlers in the 15th century. Located in an extensive mountainous area in the center of Gran Canaria, Risco Caído comprises cliffs, ravines and volcanic formations in a landscape of rich biodiversity. In July 2019, Risco Caído was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
