The
Taurus Mountains (in Turkish, Toros Dağları), are a mountain complex in
southern Turkey, separating the Mediterranean coastal region from the central
Anatolian Plateau. They are divided into three chains from west to east as
follows: Western Taurus (Batı Toroslar), Central Taurus (Orta Toroslar) and
Southeastern Taurus (Güneydoğu Toroslar). The highest peak is Mt. Kızılkaya
(3,771 m, 12,372 ft).
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations. It changes the principles and techniques of international air navigation and fosters the planning and development of international air transport to ensure safe and orderly growth. Its headquarters is located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was officially founded on April 4, 1947.
