Noto Hantō Quasi-National Park (能登半島国定公園) covers a portion of Noto Peninsula, in Ishikawa and Toyama Prefectures, into the Chūbu region (Honshu Island). Noto Peninsula (能登半島), extends about 100 kilometers into the Sea of Japan. The park was established on May 1, 1968, and its area is 96.72 km2 (37.34 sq mi). On the stamp you can see, in the background, the Tateyama Mountain Range (立山連峰).
