The Hoher Sonnblick (also known as Rauriser Sonnblick) is a glacial mountain 3,106 m (10,190 ft) above the level of the Adriatic Sea, at the head of the Hüttwinkltal valley of the main alpine chain of the Goldberg Group, in the Salzburg federal state, about 290 km (180 mi) southwest of Vienna. At its top is the Sonnblick Observatory (the highest in Austria), built in 1886, and the Zittelhaus alpine refuge.
