Lough Tay Lake (Irish Gaelic: Loch Tea), of glacial origin, also known as Guinness Lake, is located on a former private property belonging to the Guinness family, in the Wicklow Mountains (County Wicklow), at an altitude of 246 m (807 ft) above sea level, between the peaks of Djouce, 725 m (2,379 ft) and Luggala, 595 m (1,952 ft), and is dominated by the granite cliffs of Luggala. Its area is 0.48 km2 (0.19 sq mi) and its maximum depth is 35 m (115 ft). It receives the waters of the Cloghoge River, which also drains it.
