The Andean Group or Andean Community is the result of the Andean Pact, which arose from the Cartagena de Indias (Colombia) agreement (Acuerdo de Cartagena) signed on May 26, 1969 in order to achieve greater integration of the Andean regions and greater economic and social cooperation.
