The Höllental in the Black Forest is a deep valley - in places like a gorge - in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The valley, which is about 9 km (5.59 mi) long, is located in the southern part of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park about 18 km (11.18 mi) southeast of Freiburg im Breisgau.

The French occupation zone in Germany (German: Französische Besatzungszone, French: Zone d'occupation française en Allemagne) was one of the Allied-occupied areas in Germany after World War II. The occupation began on May 8, 1945, after the surrender of Nazi Germany, and ended on May 5, 1955, after the Bonn – Paris conventions, when the allied territories were integrated into the Federal Republic of Germany.
