The
Orange is the longest river in southern Africa. Its total length is 2,432 km
(1,511 miles), its basin stretching from Lesotho to South Africa and Namibia to
the north. It has its sources in the Drakensberg Mountains in
Lesotho and flows west through South Africa to the Atlantic Ocean. The river is
part of the international borders between South Africa and Lesotho and between
South Africa and Namibia.
