The Upper Sûre Natural Park (Luxembourgish: Naturpark Uewersauer; French: Parc Naturel de la Haute-Sûre; German: Naturpark Obersauer) is located in Oesling region, north-western Luxembourg, on the border with Belgium. It has an area of 162 km² (62.55 sq mi). At the heart of the park is the Upper Sûre Lake (represented in the stamp), the largest area of water in the country. The park was created in 1999 to protect the natural environment and ecosystem. It is primarily an area of conservation and a specially protected area for wild birds.
