The Francisco del Rosario Sánchez Bridge, over the Ozama River, in the city of Santo Domingo (where it joins San Vicente de Paúl Avenue, in the Los Mina sector, with Padre Castellanos Avenue, in Los Guandules), was inaugurated in 1974. Its construction was carried out by the Venezuelan company Industrias Metalúrgicas Van Dam. It is a structure of about 800 m (2,625 ft) in length, with four lanes, two in each direction.
