Playa
Colorada is a beach on the Caribbean Sea, located in the Mochima National
Park in the state of Sucre.
It owes its name to the color of its sand, which has shades ranging from
reddish to gold. It is characterized by its crystal clear waters, its coconut
palms and its rich fauna, formed mainly by seabirds and dolphins. It is
approximately 400 m (1,310 ft) long. It is under the responsibility of the Instituto
Nacional de Parques (National Institute of Parks).
