The Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park (Nationalpark Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft), situated at the coast of the Baltic Sea, is largest national park of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's federal state. It was established on October 1, 1990 and has an area of 805 km² (311 sq mi). It consists of several peninsulas, islands and lagoon shore areas in the Baltic Sea, belonging to the district of Vorpommern-Rügen. The territory of the park includes parts of the Darß, the Zingst peninsula, most of the island of Hiddensee and a narrow strip of land on the island of Rügen.
