From May 20 to July 20, 1958, the exhibition "The Treasures of Peru" was held at the Petit Palais in Paris, an event organized to promote the history and culture of the country and at the same time, tourism and foreign investment. The sample consisted of almost 3,000 objects from private collections and Peruvian public entities: ceramic pieces, textiles and funerary objects from ancestral cultures, a collection of gold jewelery from the Inca empire, colonial furniture, paintings, photographs, typical dresses, sculptures, crafts, etc.
