Crown of Polish Mountains (Polish: Korona Gór Polski) is a list of 28 peaks, one for each of the Polish mountain ranges. It was suggested by the geographer, traveler and writer Marek Więckowski and Dr. Wojciech Lewandowski in the tourism and local tradition magazine Poznaj swój kraj ('Know Your Country'). A list of 21 peaks was proposed on December 12, 1997 at a meeting called by the Poznaj swój kraj editors, and the Klub Zdobywców ("Club of the Conquerors") was created, with more than 21,000 members. As of 2009, the number of peaks increased to 28, the highest of which is the Rysy (2,499 m, 8,199 ft), in the Tatra Mountains, on the border with Slovakia.
