Kunda Bay (Estonian: Kunda laht) is located on the northern coast of Estonia, in the county of Lääne-Virumaa, and is part of the Gulf of Finland, in the Baltic Sea. At its center, about 100 km east of Tallinn, is the city of Kunda, which has a major port. The Kunda and Toolse rivers flow into the bay. The Kunda lighthouse, built in 1909, was at the Kunda port. It was destroyed by fire in summer1999.
