The International Transportation Exhibition (VAT) was a trade fair that took place in Hamburg (Germany) in 1979, in which the entire spectrum of transport technology was displayed. On the occasion of this exhibition, the Transrapid 05 magnetic levitation train was inaugurated, which took visitors to Heiligengeistfeld, which served as the fairgrounds. In addition, new locomotives and various models of electric and hybrid buses were presented.
