The
Atehuecillas Waterfall (Spanish: Caída de agua de Atehuecillas), formed
by the El Molino River, is located about 4 km (2.50 mi) from Colonia El Espino,
in the Ahuachapán
Department, western El Salvador, near the border with Guatemala. The water
falls from a height of 65 m (213 ft). Despite its difficult access, in the
middle of the jungle, it is an important tourist attraction in the region.
