The Édéa Power Station is a hydroelectric power plant of the Sanaga River in the town of Édéa, in Cameroon's Littoral Region. It has a power generating capacity of 264 megawatts (354,000 hp). Its construction began in 1950 and ended in fall 1953. The official inauguration took place on February 5, 1954. Due to the loss of power at the plant, a new downstream spillway was built in 2009.
