The
Seville-Larache airline was
inaugurated on October 15, 1921 with a De Havilland DH-9 plane
from CETA (Compañía
Española de Tráfico Aéreo [Spanish Air Traffic Company], created in 1920)
piloted by the Englishman Jack Hatchett, carrying, in addition to its postal
cargo , three passengers and an autograph letter from King Alfonso XIII addressed to
General Emilio Barrera,
greeting the Spanish troops fighting in Africa.
